Communicating Science Conference (ComSciCon) - Michigan chapter
I cofounded the Michigan chapter of ComSciCon in 2018, a science communication conference for graduate students by graduate students in the Michigan region. I subsequently chaired the second annual conference in 2019.
Communicating Science Conference (ComSciCon) - Flagship workshop
I attended the 2018 Flagship conference and have helped coordinate the conference ever since. When COVID-19 forced the 2020 event online, I facilitated connections between the organizing committee and virtual event professionals, and I enabled and advertised the live-streaming of our “Science Communication in the Era of COVID-19” panel.
Science Talk
Until COVID-19 forced SciTalk 2020 to an online experience, I was the organizing committee’s Inclusivity Lead. Toward this end, I compiled a document of meeting inclusivity resources. Click the button to read more.
Physics Graduate Student Symposium
In Summer 2015, I coordinated PGSS, a summer-long seminar series for graduate students in STEM at the University of Michigan to showcase their research and to practice presenting. Presenters receive audience feedback and comments following their talks.
